The Customer Experience World Games (CXWG) was set up to bring together those who believe they importance of CX is the improved contribution made on behalf of others.
Originated by Christopher Brooks during the 2020 lockdown to raise the spirits of some despairing peers, it soon picked up momentum and with the support of the great CX community became a volunteer movement helping others.
That original spark of support for others still lights the games, now in its 5th year. The CXWG is a volunteer movement. That makes it unique and unashamedly non-commercial in design.
With this in mind, we want to convey the importance of that word; 'games'.
Whilst we hope to make a meaningful difference for others with what we achieve, we want you to have learn, connect with new CXers and have fun.
We’ve put together a 'Spirit of the Games' sort of code of practice.
We would like everyone associated with the game to be mindful of this as they take part.

Volunteer-powered
Real-world support
1. Respect that we are all volunteering our time. Players, captains, judges, challengers, staff, all are volunteering their time. Isn’t that amazing?. You will be helping others throughout. Give what time you can afford but be conscious of your wellbeing too.
2. Everyone is here to enjoy themselves and have fun by playing games. Find your way to contribute to the positivity.
3. Everyone is equal at the games. All are entitled to contribute and so respect that contribution is to be considered by all.
4. All ideas; big, small, old or new are to be applauded.
5. Bad grammar may happen, bad language should not.
6. We are all in service of the challenges which will make a difference to others.
7. To arrive at the best experiences, bring the best version of yourself to the games. Hold nothing back, share everything in the cause of progress.
8. Your reward will be the progress of others. Enjoy feeling good in giving more.
9. Take all the learning you can absorb during the games. Please benefit. In fact, as a player you are now entitled to the 60+ entries submitted for past challenges. Contact us for access to the ‘Challenger Entries’ folder.
10. Prospecting or pursing commercial opportunities with other players or anyone involved in the games is unacceptable. We don’t get serious at the games, but we won’t tolerate this as its against our ethos. If you see it, please report it
We thank you for being a part of the games. Have fun!
And please feedback anything you think we could improve upon for next time.
