1 month of games (July)
3 challenges
Free methodology to resolve challenges
Over a period of around three to four weeks, participants are placed into diverse teams and guided by captains.
The format is online and flexible, with teams agreeing how and when they meet. Each challenge is typically worked on over one week, allowing people to contribute around other commitments while still taking part in a meaningful way.
There is no single imposed methodology. Instead, teams bring their own ways of working, learn from one another and build solutions together. That mix of structure and freedom is part of what makes the Global edition valuable: it creates space for collaboration, learning and practical problem-solving at the same time.
CXWG Global works on real challenges with real social relevance.
Past examples have included improving donor experiences, strengthening support for vulnerable mothers and children in conflict settings, helping an NGO turn website visitors into regular donors, and improving intern experiences so that volunteers become stronger advocates for a charity’s mission.
These challenges matter because they sit where experience and impact meet. CXWG is not about abstract theory or ideas for their own sake. It is about applying CX thinking to situations where better experiences can help organisations serve people more effectively and compassionately.

CXWG Global is volunteer-led and non-commercial in spirit. Everyone involved is there to support others, contribute what they can, and enjoy the experience of building something useful together.
The Games are designed to be positive, respectful and collaborative, with a clear expectation that participation is not used for prospecting or commercial gain.
That ethos matters. It helps create an environment where people can learn, connect and contribute generously, while keeping the focus on the organisations and communities the Games are there to support.
For participants, CXWG Global offers the chance to collaborate internationally, learn from other practitioners, and apply CX skills in a context that goes beyond commercial outcomes.
For charities and NGOs, it creates access to fresh thinking, diverse perspectives and actionable ideas from a global volunteer community.
CXWG Global is a place for people who believe customer experience can do more than improve business performance. It is a place to use those skills in ways that are practical, generous and genuinely useful to others.
